Anindhya Banerjee and Payal Mehta
New Delhi, The Narendra Modi government is facing aggressive opposition in the very first session of Parliament. On the first day of Lok Sabha proceedings, the newly elected MPs were sworn in, but the real test of the government will be after this. When the opportunity to elect the Lok Sabha Speaker comes. After that the opposition is preparing to raise the issue of NEET UG paper leak, NET exam and all kinds of irregularities. The opposition wants answers on every matter. In such a situation, the government is also not behind. It has also made an AAA strategy. Let us know what is the AAA strategy of the Modi government?
Whether it is the case of NEET-UG 2024 or the cancellation of UGC-NET 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has always been the target of students. This is the reason why the government even changed its DG. The NEET-PG exam was postponed at the last moment. This has caused a lot of anger among medical students. The opposition wants to take advantage of this. But the government is also fully prepared. Top government sources indicated that all the facts will be placed before the people of the country. A top official told AnyTV, “We are ready to answer all the questions and put all the facts before the people. We have nothing to hide. Whether we need to speak on the floor of Parliament or not will depend on the permission and decision of the Lok Sabha Speaker.” You can understand the seriousness of the situation by the fact that the Union Education Minister did not even attend the International Yoga Day program on June 21.
On the other hand, the opposition is also fully prepared. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has already released a video message promising to fight the students “from the streets to the Parliament”. The CPI(M) has demanded the dismissal of the Education Minister. Sharad Pawar’s NCP called the last minute postponement of NEET-PG 2024 a failure of the government. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin even termed it a scam. The SP and the Aam Aadmi Party are already attacking the government on this issue. BJP sources say that the government has made an AAA strategy Acknowledgement, Accountability and Attack to counter the opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Acknowledgement means to accept
A senior BJP MP said, the government does not want to appear insensitive at any point. We understand that this whole matter is related to the future of the youth. When the discussion begins after the election of the Lok Sabha Speaker and the President’s address, we will answer all the issues without running away. Its strategy will be decided in the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will probably address the House and reiterate what he had said earlier that the integrity of the examinations is being compromised. Another Rajya Sabha MP said that the BJP knows how sensitive this issue is and so its first step would be to accept the problem. The government will do exactly that.
Accountability
The decision to remove Subodh Kumar Singh from the post of NTA chief has indicated that the government will not shy away from taking tough decisions to fix accountability. Singh has been replaced by Pradeep Singh Karola. Karola’s first task will be to fix new dates for cancelled and postponed exams. The government has handed over the investigation of alleged irregularities, including paper leaks, to the CBI. The CBI is also investigating the UGC-NET exam. A senior BJP MP said, “We have not only accepted that the integrity of the exam was compromised, but we have also taken decisive action. The CBI has already filed an FIR and the investigation is underway. We will soon punish the culprits. If the opposition plays politics on this issue, the government will tell how it has quickly fixed the problem. The government will tell how the examination law was implemented keeping in mind the interests of the students. This is the only government that brought a bill to stop paper leaks. We are going to monitor the functioning of coaching centers.” Whoever has done something wrong will not be spared.
Attack means the strategy to respond
BJP sources said, if the opposition remains aggressive in the House even after this, then BJP will respond aggressively. BJP has also made preparations to respond to the appointment of the Protem Speaker. Congress said that eight-time MP K Suresh should be made the Protem Speaker, while BJP has appointed seven-time MP Bhartruhari Mahtab as the Protem Speaker. BJP sources said, Congress will try to silence Congress by raising the issue of paper leak during Congress rule in Rajasthan. Then a direct attack will be made on Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to keep quiet. Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha has accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s associates of being involved in the NEET-UG paper leak. Its echo will also be heard in the House. A BJP MP said, if the matter comes out, it will go far…
