New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. His bail plea is to be heard on Tuesday in the Delhi liquor scam case. Meanwhile, big news has come out that Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered an NIA investigation on the CM. NIA is a counter terrorism agency. In such a situation, the big question is, what has CM Kejriwal, who is surrounded by corruption allegations, done that the Lieutenant Governor has taken such strict action against him? According to the news of news agency PTI, many things come to light from the letter of recommendation given by LG to NIA.
In a letter to the Union Home Secretary, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat said that LG Saxena had received a complaint that the Kejriwal-led AAP had allegedly received funding of US $ 16 million from extremist Khalistani groups for the release of Devendra Pal Bhullar. Bhullar, lodged in Amritsar Central Jail, was convicted in the 1993 Delhi bomb blast case of killing nine people. He was sentenced to death by a TADA court on August 25, 2001 and is serving life imprisonment after his death sentence was commuted by the Supreme Court.

Pen drive handed over to NIA…
LG Saxena has said in the letter that there is a need for investigation including forensic examination of the electronic evidence (pen drive) given by the complainant. The letter said the complaint has been made against a chief minister and pertains to political funding received from a banned terrorist organisation. Sources said the complaint refers to a video released by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, where he alleged that the Kejriwal-led AAP received US$16 million from Khalistani groups between 2014 and 2022.

The complaint to the Lieutenant Governor also alleged that Kejriwal had held closed-door meetings with Khalistani leaders at Gurdwara Richmond Hills, New York during his visit in 2014. It is alleged that Kejriwal allegedly promised to facilitate Bhullar’s release in exchange for adequate funds. Khalistani groups had promised to support AAP. According to sources, the complaint said that in a series of posts on social media, Munish Kumar Raizada, a former AAP worker, also shared alleged photographs of Kejriwal’s meeting with Khalistani leaders.
