Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a three-day Europe tour, addressed the Indian community in Berlin, Germany on Monday. During this, PM Modi said – It is my good fortune that I have got the opportunity to meet the children of Mother Bharati in Germany today. It feels great to be together with you all. Your love and blessings are my greatest strength. When the mind of a country is formed, then it walks on the paths and stays after achieving the desired destinations. Today’s young India wants fast development of the country. The youth understand that political stability is essential for rapid development. India will not waste time now. India knows very well what is the time today and what is the power of this time.
India decides its direction
The PM further said- I am the first PM of the country who was born in independent India. When India will celebrate 100 years of its independence, today India is moving ahead with a strong pace, taking one step after the other, with a view to the height at which the country will be at that time. There was never a shortage of resources in India, nor was there a lack of resources. After independence, the country decided a path, decided a direction, but with the passage of time, many changes that should have happened, should have been faster, should have been wider, we have been left behind somewhere. To instill self-confidence in the people of India, trust in the government was necessary.
Government removing unnecessary interference
The PM said – where there is no need, there should be no influence of the government. The country progresses when the people lead the development of the country. The country progresses when people come forward and decide its direction. In today’s India, not the government, not Modi, but the people of the country are sitting on the driving force. That is why we are also removing the pressure of the government from the lives of the people of the country and we are also removing unnecessary interference from the government. We are transforming the country. I always say that reform requires a political will.
Scope, skill and speed India’s strength
While addressing the public, the PM said- This is the same country that you left and came here. The details are also the same, the office is also the same, the table-files are all the same. But now the results are getting much better. Before 2014, when I used to talk to you, he used to complain a lot that where Dekho used to be written, Work in Progress.. I am not criticizing anyone. First the road is built, then the electricians dig it, then the water people dig it, then the telephone people dig it. This is because there is no mutual communication in government offices. Everyone has their own report card but the result is work in progress. Now all the departments are planning their part work in advance. India’s biggest strength today is scope, speed and scale. Today investment in social infrastructure is coming in India. Today small towns are being connected with new routes.
India’s 40 percent stake in real time digital payments
PM said- Record number of new mobile towers are being installed in India. Villages are being connected by optical fiber. 5G is about to arrive in India. The fastest internet connectivity in India. No country can even imagine the amount of cheap data in India. India accounts for 40 percent of real time digital payments. Now the compulsion of carrying cash in pocket while traveling in India is over. Mobile payment is enough for you even in remote villages.
Taunting Congress through former PM’s statement
Ten thousand services of center and states are available online. Now no PM will have to say that I send one rupee and 15 paise reaches. Taking a jibe at the Congress, the PM said – which was the claw that used to rub 85 paise? In the last seven-eight years, India has sent more than 22 lakh crores through DBT. Today more than 68 thousand start ups have started in India, which used to be 200-400 before 2014.
