According to Dr. Rahul Chaudhary, tinea capitis is mostly seen in children. It can affect any part of the head. Some specific symptoms are seen when tinea capitis occurs. Such as mild swollen red spots on the head, formation of dry scaly rashes on the head, excessive itching in the head, rapid hair fall and formation of spots at that place or mild fever may also occur.
Reasons for fungal infection on scalp?
According to the Cleveland report, rapid hair fall could mean fungal infection in the head. This is known as tinea capitis. In this problem both head and hair are affected. This type of fungal infection occurs in children when the fungus reaches the roots of the child’s hair. Sometimes, children’s eyelashes and eyebrows can also get affected due to this fungal infection.

How to prevent ringworm on the head?

Apart from this, to avoid tinea capitis, shampoo daily, so that the infection does not persist on the scalp. Take care of children’s diet. Because, due to weak immunity, they get diseases easily.
