Bengaluru-based electric scooter startup Simple Energy recently launched its first electric scooter Simple One in the domestic market. Adorned with a very attractive look and strong electric motor, this scooter is preparing to compete mainly with Ola S1 in the market. Recently, the company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government, according to which the company is going to set up the world’s largest electric two-wheeler plant in the state and plans to invest Rs 2500 crore in the next five years. .
How is the new Simple One Electric Scooter:
The company has given a removable battery pack of 4.8kWh capacity in this electric scooter, which weighs 7 kg. Its electric motor generates power of 7kW and best in segment torque of 72Nm. Despite being an electric scooter, its pick-up is very good, the company claims that this scooter is capable of reaching 40 kmph in just 2.95 seconds.
According to the information given by the company, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 236 km in a single charge. The fixed battery provided with the scooter gets charged up to 80% in just 2.75 hours and the swappable battery takes about 75 minutes to get fully charged. The Simple One is built on a tubular underbone chassis, with telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. It comes with 12-inch alloy wheels along with 90-section tyres.
The Simple One electric scooter is equipped with all-LED lighting, 30-litre underseat storage, swappable battery, fast charging and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. Other features include TFT display with OTA updates, geofencing, tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle tracking and even storage space to store documents. Combi braking system is included in this as standard. Its price has been fixed at Rs 1.09 lakh.
