The meeting was attended by the leaders of the Political Affairs Committee of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its main focus was to discuss the Presidential Election 2022. After the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders of ‘AAP’ collectively announced their support to Yashwant Sinha for the presidential election.
‘Aap’ can play an important role
Voting is to be held on July 18 for the presidential election to be held in 2022 this year. After this, the results of the elections will be declared on July 21. On one hand, while NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu is the candidate, on the other hand, the opposition has collectively made Yashwant Sinha its candidate for the post of President. Well, now that the Aam Aadmi Party has also announced to support Yashwant Sinha, then it becomes necessary to know that what will be the role of ‘AAP’ in the presidential election and how many MLAs and MPs it currently has? At present, AAP has 10 Rajya Sabha MPs including Delhi and Punjab. Apart from this, the party has 92 MLAs in Punjab, 62 in Delhi and 2 in Goa.
