Biplab Kumar Deb resigned as Tripura CM just a year before the elections. This is exactly what the BJP high command has been doing before the elections in the states. This has happened in Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Gujarat. Now the question is, on the basis of which face of Tripura after Biplab Deb, BJP will enter the electoral fray. According to sources, after Biplab Deb, there are three faces in front of BJP, out of which one can take his place.
Party sources say that after Biplab Kumar Deb in Tripura, three people are leading in the race for CM. Among them, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Tripura President Manik Shah, Deputy CM Jishnu Deb Burman and MP and Minister of State in the Central Government Pratima Bhowmiki are leading in the race. The election of the new Chief Minister of the state will be held in the meeting of BJP MLAs. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav and BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde have been made central observers of the BJP Legislature Party meeting.
Earlier, Biplab Kumar Deb resigned from the post of CM. Talking to the media after submitting his resignation to the Governor, he said, “Everything has a time limit. We work within that time limit. Wherever I am sent, be it CM or any other post, Biplab Deb can fit in everywhere.”
Deb said the party is bigger than everything. I worked for the party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As BJP State President and then CM, I tried to do justice to the people of Tripura. I tried to keep the state free from its effects during the Corona period while ensuring peace, security and development in the state.
Biplab Kumar Deb resigned from his post a day after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. According to sources, the decision regarding his resignation has come from the BJP leadership.
