Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke openly to the players at a ceremony organized for the Indian Olympic team. PM Modi hosted the Olympic team on Thursday after the ceremony at the Red Fort on Independence Day. In the video shared by PM Modi, he can be seen talking to the players personally. During this, PM Modi laughed and joked with the players and also answered questions about the problems they faced.

Who all blamed me for not having AC?

Paris Olympics were not meant for environment friendly reasons and hence players’ rooms did not have ACs. Due to this Indian Sports Ministry had to arrange 40 ACs in a hurry. On this PM Modi laughingly asked who all had cursed him for this? No one answered this.

Modi talks big but there is no AC in the room

PM Modi further said, ‘There were no ACs in the rooms and it was hot too. I want to know who among you said first that Modi talks big but our rooms do not have ACs.’ Along with this, PM Modi asked, ‘Who faced the most trouble? But I came to know that the work was done in a few hours. See how we tried to provide you the best facilities.’

When Prakash Padukone took Lakshya Sen’s phone

Talking to Lakshya Sen, who finished fourth in men’s singles badminton, Modi said, “When I met Lakshya for the first time, he was very young. Now he has grown up.” Along with this, PM Modi said that you know that now you have become a celebrity. On this, Lakshya said, “Yes sir. But during the matches, Prakash sir took my phone and said that I will get the phone only after the match is over. Only after that I came to know how much everyone has encouraged me.”

Next time I will send Prakash Padukone again- PM Modi

Lakshya Sen further said, ‘This was a good lesson for me. I had a good experience in my first Olympics. I was nervous in the first few matches but later I became normal. I was a little heartbroken that I came so close. I will try my best next time.’ PM Modi jokingly said, ‘If Prakash Sir was so disciplined, then I will send him next time.’
