Shivshankar Singh of Gopalganj died in Kuwait fire incident, last conversation was on video call. Life lost in fire at Al-Mangaf building in Kuwait, body will be brought to Gopalganj today. He was posted as a foreman in a Kuwaiti company and had been working in a foreign company for a decade.
Gopalganj. 45 Indians died in the fire in Kuwait’s Al-Mangaf building. Among them, Shiv Shankar Singh Kushwaha, a resident of Gopalganj, also died. Shiv Shankar Singh Kushwaha is the 45-year-old son of late Ramdhari Singh of Sapahan village of Gopalpur police station area. He was living in Kuwait for the last decade and working as a foreman in a company. He was working in the Al-Mangaf building on the day of the accident.
On the initiative of Kuwait and Indian government, the body reached Delhi on Friday by a special Air Force plane. The body is expected to reach the native village on Saturday. The deceased’s brother-in-law Akhilesh Kumar Singh is bringing the body. On the other hand, as soon as the news of the death was received, there was chaos among the family members. Since the news of the accident, even the stove has not been lit in the house.
On receiving the news of the incident, the local CO reached the spot and met the family members and informed them about the compensation amount to be given by the government. The central government has announced compensation to the dependents of the deceased. The state government has also said that the compensation amount will be given by the Labor Resources Department. The victim’s family is waiting for the body to arrive on Saturday.
Wife and mother unconscious, the accident shocked everyone
Shivshankar Singh’s death in Kuwait has shocked the entire family. The deceased’s wife Nirmala Devi and mother Ganeshia Devi were lying unconscious. The wife was hurt on hearing the news of her husband’s death and the mother was hurt on hearing the news of her son’s death. At the same time, the deceased’s two sons Mukesh Kumar and Abhishek Kumar were also drowned in grief on losing their father. The people around were trying to console the bereaved family.
The last time we talked was on a video call
Before the fire in Kuwait, Shiv Shankar Singh Kushwaha spoke for the last time on a video call. While talking on the video call, he asked about his mother and wife in his family. While talking to his sons, he asked them to take proper care of everyone, but the next day a fire broke out and he died in it. Little did the family know that this call would be his last call.
Gopalganj district administration is cooperating
Family members said that when the family came to know about the accident through TV, the whole house got worried. After this, his family members started calling. When they could not get through, the family members called his colleagues, from whom they got the information about the death of Shivshankar Singh Kushwaha. Everyone was stunned to hear this. Akhilesh Kumar Singh said that he is returning to Sapahan with the dead body of his brother-in-law. The family members said that they have received information from the district administration that his body will come to Sapahan on Saturday.
