New Delhi. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Sunday that discrepancies have been found in some places in NEET. Whoever is found guilty of irregularities, even the National Testing Agency (NTA), will not be spared. The government is working to correct the discrepancies.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Sunday, “Some anomalies have come to light in NEET. The government is working on its improvement. Wherever such irregularities are reported with concrete information, action is being taken under the supervision of the court. The government is committed to ensure that an important exam like NEET is 100 percent transparent.”
The Union Education Minister said, “I want to assure all the students once again that this entire matter is under the court’s scrutiny. The Supreme Court itself is keeping an eye on this. We will not let any wrong happen and whoever is responsible for this will be held guilty and action will be taken against them.”
It is worth noting that many political parties including Congress and student organizations are accusing of rigging in NEET for medical courses like MBBS. Congress has alleged that the NEET paper was leaked. An independent forensic investigation has been demanded in this regard.
Congress says that the Education Minister should order an independent forensic investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court in the NEET scam, videos of the centers where there are big high scorers should be released. This will help identify the scam. It will be known whether the OMR was filled after the exam or in the NTA office or there was some other irregularity.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for over 24 lakh candidates at 4,750 centers in 571 cities. The NEET-UG 2024 result was declared on June 4. As soon as the result was declared, there was an uproar and many students alleged discrepancies. The NEET-UG exam is conducted by the NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country.
