In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the voting process for the second phase has ended. Meanwhile, now PM Narendra Modi reached Davanagere, Karnataka to campaign for the elections. Here he addressed a huge public meeting. During this, PM Modi targeted the opposition and Congress a lot. He said in this election meeting held on Sunday that those who rejected the invitation for the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, will be rejected by the public in the current Lok Sabha elections. He was apparently referring to the Congress party for not attending the event.
PM Modi targeted the opposition
PM Modi said that the decision on the construction of Ram temple should have been taken the very next day of the country’s independence. Taking aim at the Congress on the issue, he alleged that the “same forces” tried till the last moment to ensure that the Ram temple was not built and had even approached the court on the last day. Addressing a public meeting in this taluka headquarters town in Uttara Kannada district, the Prime Minister said, “The Congress and its courtiers have tried for 70 years that the Ram temple should not be built.” He said the trustees of the Ram temple ignored all the hurdles imposed by the Congress and its allies, visited his house and invited him to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which showed his bona fides.
‘These people used to wear EVM caps’
PM Modi said, “They (Congress leaders) rejected the invitation to the Ram temple function. The country will reject those who reject the invitation to Ram temple.” He said that earlier whenever he lost, he used to wear a cap on the EVM. He used to keep chanting EVM garlands day and night as soon as the elections came, now the day before yesterday the Supreme Court has slapped him so hard that he is confused as to what to say to console his party workers. Now the entire Congress is busy drafting what statement to make if it loses the elections.
