Actually, this matter came to the fore when a person shared this video through his Instagram post alleging that even after the panic attack, the Air India staff called the security and instead of medical help, he was thrown out of the airport. After the video surfaced, Air India issued a statement clarifying. In an official statement, the airline has said that the video is misleading.
In its statement, Air India said that the three passengers seen in the viral video were informed several times by our staff to report before the boarding gate was closed but they had arrived late so they were stopped from boarding the plane. Air India said that when we saw that the woman was lying on the ground, we immediately called a doctor and a CISF jawan to help her, but when the doctor reached the spot, the passenger helped refused.
Air India also said that the woman lay on the ground to malign our image. He said that the video of the woman is going viral on social media and the media published it without confirming the matter.
Air India said that the safety and comfort of passengers is always our top priority. We have to follow the set rules. We cannot delay the flight at any cost, especially when all the passengers have boarded the plane on time.
