Varanasi. ‘If Congress comes to power, it will distribute the country’s wealth between ‘infiltrators’ and ‘those who have more children’. There is a lot of uproar over what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said recently. Congress has also complained to the Election Commission regarding this statement of PM Modi. In such a situation, Prime Minister Modi has responded to the uproar created by this statement in an exclusive interview given to AnyTV India. PM Modi clearly said that he does not market his love towards Muslims and the day Hindu-Muslims start doing so, he will leave politics.
AnyTV India’s Consulting Editor Rubika Liaquat, in a special conversation with PM Modi, asked, ‘Why did you talk about infiltrators and people having more children on the stage? So the Prime Minister said, ‘This is wrong, I did not only talk about Muslims, I talked about every poor family.’ Prime Minister Modi also said, ‘I neither said Hindu nor Muslim… the day I start talking about Hindu-Muslim, I will stop doing politics. I see everyone equally. This is my resolution.

When PM Modi was asked, ‘Why were you not successful in breaking the perception that you are not against Muslims? So he said, ‘This is not a Muslim’s question. Personally, Muslims may like me, but after 2002, my image was tarnished. PM Modi also said that ‘I do not market the love of Muslims.’

PM Modi said, ‘I have lived among a Muslim family in my childhood. Many of my friends are Muslims. All the Muslim families lived next to my house. Food was not cooked at our place on the day of Eid. Food used to come to our house from all the Muslim families. After Godhra, all the shoppers at Manik Chowk are Hindus. All the shopkeepers are Muslims. There is a huge crowd during Diwali. I got a survey done there in 2002. I sent the boys to do the survey. There Muslims used to say – Don’t take Modi’s name… If Modi was not there, children would not have gone to school. Their mother was so happy that the children’s life changed after Modi’s arrival.
