The risk of kidney stone formation is also higher in summer, because urine becomes more concentrated due to not drinking enough water in this season. Due to this, salts and minerals start crystallizing, which take the form of stones. Especially people who drink less water are more at risk of kidney stones in summer.
Dr. Ankit Goyal told that to avoid kidney stones in summer, people should drink 2.5 to 3 liters of water daily. Salt intake should be reduced and a healthy diet should be taken. Include calcium and oxalate rich foods like dry fruits in balanced quantity in your diet. Excessive consumption of these can be harmful. If you work outdoors, drink 3 to 4 liters of water. Apart from this, do regular exercise. This will benefit your overall health and will also help in avoiding kidney stones.
