Ratlam (Rep. of New Zealand). Preparations are being made to get NABH certificates to all the 13 government medical colleges affiliated hospitals of the state. The Directorate of Medical Education has started the process. After this, on Monday, Dean Dr. Jitendra Gupta and Dr. Sunita Wadhwani, who was a member of NABH, along with Hospital Superintendent Dr. Pradeep Mishra took a meeting of all the Heads of Departments.
Various aspects of the hospital and their standards were discussed in the meeting. Dean Dr. Gupta said that the goal of keeping the Medical College Hospital at par with the corporate hospitals is from the beginning. For this, the process for NABH accreditation has been started. All the heads of departments gave suggestions. The National Accreditation Board of Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH) is the board that sets standards for national level hospitals and grants certification only if each infrastructure is at a standard level. The hospital will have to keep better services even after getting the certificate. Patients will get great benefit from this. No government hospital in the state has got this certificate yet, while many private hospitals have got the final certificate of NABH.
