Lok Sabha elections will conclude in Rajasthan on Friday. In the second phase, voting is going on on 13 seats here. In the last two Lok Sabha elections, 2014 and 2019, BJP had won all the 25 seats here. This time the party is preparing to do a hat-trick in the state. But, many reports are claiming that there are at least five such seats in the state where the contest is extremely tough. Congress candidates are giving tough competition on these five seats. It is also being claimed in these reports that local issues are very effective on these seats and due to this, BJP seems to be facing challenge in the Lok Sabha elections.
Churu
The first name in this list is Churu parliamentary seat Of. Voting was done here in the first phase on April 19. There was 64 percent voting here. The main fight here is between Congress candidate Rahul Kaswan and Rajendra Rathore, a supporter of BJP candidate Devendra Jhajharia. The fight here has become between Jat and Rajput. Rahul Kaswan was elected MP from here on BJP ticket in 2019, but when the party did not give him the ticket in 2024, he rebelled and joined Congress. The mutual fight between Kaswan and Rathore in this area can cause huge loss to BJP. Despite PM Modi’s rally in the area, fighting continues here.
Nagaur
This constituency Rajasthan Comes to Jat land. Here the main fight used to take place within the Mirdha family. But, now the situation has changed. Hanuman Beniwal, a former associate of Mirdha, is giving a tough competition. He is the head of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and has an alliance with the Congress. BJP’s Jyoti Mirdha is in the fray in front of him. She had switched sides from Congress to BJP in the 2023 assembly elections. Here in 2019 the equation had changed. At that time Beniwala was in the fray with the support of BJP and he had defeated Jyoti Mirdha of Congress.
Jhunjhunu
This has been the area of big Congress leader Shishram Ola. He was elected MP from here five times between 1996 and 2009. After his death in 2013, BJP gained control here. This time Congress has made Shishram’s son Brijendra Singh Ola its candidate. BJP is facing problems in this area also. It has canceled the ticket of its sitting MP Narendra Kumar and made Shubhakaran Chaudhary its candidate. Narendra Kumar had made controversial remarks about the Rajput community. There was a lot of opposition to this cause. On the other hand, Rajput community in the state is considered to be a supporter of BJP.
Sikar
Rajasthan Sikar is the fourth seat. In this Jat dominated seat B J P There is a close contest between the Indian Alliance and the candidates. Here, CPI in alliance with Congress has made Amr Ram its candidate. Here, a kind of anti-incumbency issue is being said regarding two-time BJP MP Sumedhanand Saraswati. This seat is the constituency of State Congress President Govind Singh Dotarsa. He is a prominent Jat leader of the state. The popularity of Dotarsa and Amr Ram is said to be good in the area.
Dausa
Dausa is the fifth seat in this list. Traditionally this is the seat of Sachin Pilot family, but since last decade there is influence of BJP here. This time the fight here is said to be very interesting. There is a fight here between two Meena candidates. Congress has fielded five-time MLA and former minister Kanhaiyalal Meena as its candidate. This is Sachin Pilot’s area and he is standing with Kanhaiyalal. His victory is being seen in his victory. Earlier in 2004, Sachin Pilot was elected MP from here.
