New Delhi: During the next 24 hours in different parts of the country, there will be rain at some places and heat wave at other places. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heat wave at isolated places in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Interior Karnataka, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Coastal Odisha, Konkan and Goa. The IMD has issued a heatwave alert for Thane and Raigad districts of Maharashtra as well as parts of Mumbai from April 27 to 29.
Temperature reached 40 degrees in many states
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, Anantapur was the hottest place in the country in the last 24 hours where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.7 degrees Celsius. Whereas in Bhubaneswar the mercury was recorded at 43.2 degrees. A temperature of 42.6 degrees was recorded in Jamshedpur and 42.4 degrees in Prayagraj. In most of the states of the country, mercury is being recorded around 40 degrees.
Chances of rain in Northeast India
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds at isolated places in Northeast India till April 28. Heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
How will the weather be during the next 24 hours?
The weather department said no significant change is expected in the maximum temperatures over northwest and eastern India during the next 24 hours. After that there will be a gradual increase of 2-4 degrees Celsius. However, the maximum temperature over central India may increase by 4-6 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. There will be no significant change after that.
Delhi’s climate
The maximum temperature recorded in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday was 37.5 degrees Celsius, which is normal in the summer season. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to remain below 40 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. Rain activities were recorded in parts of the capital Delhi on Tuesday evening, with 2.0 mm recorded in the last 24 hours.
