Today we talked about Operation Roshan, which was carried out by some brave officers of India. In fact, in 2002, the CBI had brought the country and America’s most wanted underworld don and terrorist Aftab Ansari to Delhi after deporting them from Dubai. In the same sequence, Dubai Police had asked for a return gift from India, whose name was Roshan Ansari. She was a native of Mumbai and moved to Dubai from India as the second Begum after marrying a Sheikh from Dubai.
Actually, Dubai Police wanted to bring Roshan Ansari back to Dubai because he was accused of killing his step-daughter. Which she had done together with five people and then fled to India on 1 April 2002. Along with Roshan Ansari, who returned from Dubai, his real daughter also came to India. Roshan first murdered his step-daughter who was becoming a hindrance in his prostitution business, then her body had escaped after digging a grave and buried it in the house itself.
That’s why she was a wanted criminal for the Dubai Police. When such a thing came to light from Dubai, the officials thought it was a return gift to bring back Aftab Ansari. At that time, informing IPS officer Neeraj Kumar, it was told from Dubai that they have arrested five people involved in the murder and the main conspirator is Roshan Ansari, who is currently in India.
The Chief of Dubai Police had called Neeraj Kumar because it was he who had caught Aftab Ansari in Dubai while in the CBI and brought him back to India. But the problem in the case was Neeraj Kumar had come back from CBI to Delhi Police at that time. In such a situation, helping the Dubai Police was a responsibility but it was also a throat slap.
When Neeraj Kumar sought help from the then CBI Director in this matter, he gave the green signal while giving legal documents related to deportation. In this sequence, Neeraj Kumar secretly talked to Virendra Singh, the then DIG of Mumbai CBI Unit. From here Neeraj Kumar was assured of help and then the search for the main conspirator Roshan started. After several days of search, the authorities arrested Roshan Ansari from Mumbai on 4 May.
In this arrest, Mumbai’s sharp lady officer Jyotsna Rasam showed speed. But in the midst of all this, there was a flurry that the authorities could not get the passports of Roshan and his daughter. On the one hand, the problem in front of the police was that at 5 in the morning the plane bound for Dubai was standing at the airport, but the passport of the one who was to be extradited to Dubai was missing. Apart from this, Roshan Ansari’s lawyer could also obstruct the deport if the news spread.
Mumbai Deputy SP D.S. Shukla confiscated both the passports from the Ghatkopar house of Roshan Ansari’s maternal uncle. After this, female officer Jyotsna Rasam stood at Dubai International Airport the next day on May 5 with Dubai’s most wanted criminal Roshan Ansari. After this, in the 2003 murder case, Roshan Ansari was sentenced to 20 years and the other five accused were also sentenced.
