America’s New York resonated with a flurry of gunfire on Saturday (14 May 2022). According to the information, a gun-wielding attacker suddenly opened fire on people at a supermarket in Buffalo in the afternoon, killing about 10 people and injuring 3 people. The police said on this matter that many people have come under the grip of this shelling in the top friendly supermarket. At present, the attacker has been taken into custody. He came wearing the protected armored body wear used by the army.
Authorities said the attacker has been identified as 18-year-old Peyton S. Gendron, who lives in the small town of Conklin, about 200 miles from New York. He drove himself to Buffalo and entered the supermarket carrying an assault rifle. Seeing the incident, it seems that he has done it alone.
The administration further said that a total of 13 people were shot in this shelling, out of which 11 people were black while 2 people were white.
FBI officer investigating the incident, Stephen Belongia, said the attack would be investigated as a hate crime and a violent incident fueled by racism. The accused will be produced in the court soon and a murder case has been registered against him.
According to a report published in the New York Times, before carrying out the attack, Gendron had shared a plan on the Internet, in which black people were said to be a threat to America.
Speaking to the media, Buffalo City Mayor Brian Brown expressed grief over the entire incident and said that we will not allow such a person to divide the society. Many of us go to the supermarket every day. This incident is unfortunate. He further told that by calling Attorney General Letitia James from the White House, he has taken information about the whole incident.
