Vaccination of adolescents between 15 and 18 years has been started across the country from today. Meanwhile, a case of negligence has come to light from Yewala Tehsil of Maharashtra. Here a student was given a dose of Covishield instead of Covaccine. The parents of the child have become very angry due to the incident. Adolescent boys and girls are being vaccinated at 6 sites and 39 immunization centers in Nashik district. Serious negligence has come to the fore in these 39 vaccination centers.
It was restarted shortly before due to closure of schools and colleges for the last two and a half years. Although the cases of Corona and Omicron are increasing very fast. In such a situation, to keep Prime Minister Modi’s corona infection under control, anti-coronavirus vaccination of adolescents aged 15 to 18 has been started. Clear information was given by the government that all adolescents of this age group would be given Covaxin.
However, a 16-year-old student named Atharv Pawar was given a dose of Coveshield instead of Covaxin at Patoda Primary Health Center in Yeola Tehsil. The parents of the student are very angry because of this negligence. The student’s father, Vasant Pawar, has demanded strict action against the employee guilty of this negligence. On the other hand, Health Officer Harshal Nehte had accepted the mistake of the health worker organized at the Health Center. However, so far everyone has kept silent about what steps will be taken against the employee in this regard.
