Lucknow. To increase power production in the state, Yogi government will build a new 1600 MW production unit ‘Anapara-E’. Uttar Pradesh State Production Corporation has approved this proposal in the board meeting of the corporation on Monday. The proposal will soon be sent to the government for its approval.
Estimated expenditure of Rs 18624 crore
Dr. Ashish Goyal, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation and State Electricity Generation Corporation, said that the expenditure on the construction of these units is estimated to be around Rs 18624 crore. It is made by NTPC and Production Corporation Ltd. Joint venture of Meja Utpadan Nigam Ltd. Will be established under. Till now, Anpara-A, Anpara-B, Anpara-D units of total 2630 MW are owned by the Production Corporation and Anpara-C is a 1200 MW project. The Chairman held a review meeting of Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Generation Corporation in which he discussed about Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Generation Corporation Ltd. While completing the ongoing coal firing trials in the first units of the new thermal projects Obra ‘C’ (2×660 MW) and Jawaharpur (2×660 MW), instructions were given to start regular power generation from these units soon.

Uttar Nigam Ltd. After the boiler lightup of the new thermal project Panki (1 × 660 MW) unit of ICICI Bank, which was completed on 18th November, instructions were given to start power generation from the unit by the coming summer.
In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people of the state in the coming summer season, the ongoing and upcoming overhauling of units at Anpara, Parichha and Obra thermal projects of the corporation should be completed as per the schedule by January 24.
Solve the problem of LP turbine in the closed unit No. 04 (500 MW) of Anpara and bring it to load very quickly.
Purchase critical/insurance spares to protect the corporation’s units from being shut down in the long run.
Production Corporation Ltd. Necessary action should be taken to utilize the ash emitted by thermal power plants in accordance with the rules of the Environment Ministry, Government of India.
Under the new recruitments in the Corporation, the necessary action should be completed soon to get them joining the Corporation in relation to the appointment letters issued to 43 Accounts Clerks, 04 Chief Chemists, 04 Additional Private Secretaries, 08 Assistant Review Officers and 30 Computer Assistants.
Instructions were given to issue appointment letters to the new 123 assistant engineers in the corporation soon. Other new recruitments going on in the corporation should be completed on time and the appointment process should be completed as soon as possible.
Production Corporation Ltd. All necessary contracts should be immediately issued for the operation and maintenance of the upcoming new thermal projects Obra ‘C’ (2×660 MW) and Jawaharpur (2×660 MW) and Panki (1×660 MW).
Strict warning to 10 executive engineers who are lagging behind in work
Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation management is continuously making efforts to further improve the electricity system of the state. In this sequence, Chairman of UP Power Corporation, Dr. Ashish Goyal on Monday gave a strict warning to the executive engineers who are not giving better results in lump sum settlement scheme and revenue collection. He has said that improvement should be seen in OTS and electricity related works by December otherwise action will be taken.
