Gorakhpur. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the grand procession of Lord Narsingh on Saturday. This procession, which came out after the victory of BJP in the assembly elections, looked like a victory procession. During this, he said that the people have chosen the nationalist government.
Chief Minister Yogi said, “Parvas connect us with the past. Holika and Hiranyakashyap have been present in every society. Hiranyakashyap and Holika tried to deter the devotee Prahlad from his devotional path but could not succeed. We too have to follow our path like the devotee Prahlad. Don’t deviate from it.”
He also thanked the people for the victory in the elections and said that the people have chosen the nationalist government. The Center and the UP government did a good job even during the Corona period. Free food grains are being given twice a month to the poor, this has also happened for the first time. He said that our condolences to the families of those who died in Corona.
Yogi Adityanath further said that you are associated with the gaiety of Holi for the last 10 days. For the first time in the last two years, Corona is under control on Holi and this is the reason why we have been able to participate in this event. It is also a matter of second happiness that the people of UP have once again elected the government for nationalism and good governance. For the first time BJP won all 9 seats in Gorakhpur.
He said that this festival and festival is even more important for Gorakhpur because for the first time after independence, BJP has won nine out of nine seats here. Nationalism is stamped. There are 18 commissionerates in UP. Gorakhpur commission has given 27 seats out of 28 to further promote nationalism.
Referring to the tradition of Holi, CM Yogi said, “Whether Holika or Hiranyakashyap has been registering his presence in front of the society in some form or the other. These festivals and festivals give us the message, to walk on the right path. If the devotee Prahlad would have deviated from the path of devotion by obeying his aunt, then perhaps the devotee Prahlad would be remembered on a holy festival like Holi. We can’t. Holi is a symbol of a non-discriminatory, egalitarian society.”
Bhagwan Narsingh Shobhayatra comes out every year in Gorakhpur. Yogi Adityanath continued to participate in this procession from 1996 to 2019, but due to corona infection, the procession did not take place for the last two years. The Chief Minister’s Holi began with the burning of Holika at the Gorakhnath temple. Yogi Kamal Nath, the head priest of the temple, along with other sages, reached the place of Holikadahan amidst the sound of musical instruments like trumpet, hawthorn, majira etc. and collected ashes after worshiping there according to law. This ashes was first offered to Guru Gorakshanath. After this Yogi did the tilak of Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath with Kamal Nath Bhasma. After applying tilak of Holika’s ashes to each other, they enjoyed singing songs on the main platform of the Sant Samaj temple.
Flag salutation and prayer were the first in the procession organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Holikotsav Samiti. The flag was raised amidst the melodious tune of the flute. Trumpets and drums participated in the procession, which welcomed the guests. After the Maha Aarti of Lord Narasimha, the sound of trumpet and drum also resonated. This time five trolleys were included in the procession, on which colors were kept mixed. There were 15-20 volunteers on each trolley who were spraying colors on people with pichkaris.
