The global auto industry is now shifting to electric vehicles, as battery-powered vehicles help reduce emissions levels, and rising fuel prices in India have fueled sales of the EV segment. However, not just buying electric bikes but also converting existing vehicles into electric vehicles is in trend nowadays. Moving in this direction, Thane-based EV startup company GoGoA1 has launched the first RTO approved EV Conversion Kit for two wheelers in India.
This company makes it the only company in Maharashtra to convert 10-year-old Hero Splendor motorcycles to electric vehicles, whose Hero Splendor electric conversion kit has been priced at around Rs 35,000. At the same time, the company claims that through this kit, Hero Splendor is capable of giving a range of up to 151 km in a single charge.
How much will it cost on a range of 151 km?
The company is giving 3 years warranty on this electric kit, however it is not available on the battery pack, i.e. if you want a battery with a range of 151 km, then the price of the complete kit and battery reaches up to Rs 95,000. One thing to note here is that this does not include the price of the motorcycle.

If you too want to convert your Splendor to an EV, you can order one online through the company’s official website, and the kit will be fitted at GoGoA1’s local installation center. Currently, the GoGoA1 has local installation setup at 36 RTOs across the country, and the company expects to expand to other cities soon. As per the information received, it will be insured by the RTO and since it is an EV, the registration number on the bike will not change, but it will be provided with a new green number plate.
