Yuvraj Pokharna, a resident of the famous Surat city of Gujarat, wanted to do something different from his youth and in fact he sees things from a particular point of view and does it in a different way. Born on March 8, 1991, in Bardoli, Surat, to doctor parents, Yuvraj has been a shy and introverted person from the beginning and stays far away from the glare of “lights-camera-action”. He did his early education from Kendriya Vidyalaya and did Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Post Graduate Science (MSc) in Mathematics. Before cutting the ‘worm’ of serving the country, Yuvraj used to teach JEE students, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a grassroots worker to serve the country.
At the national level, Yuvraj first caught the attention of the nation when he decided to enter married life on January 22, 2019. know why? The answer to this question is that he thought of giving some clear facts and information about the Rafale deal to his wedding guests, a move that earned him a blessing from the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Received! He was hailed as a national and international sensation for using the ‘invitation letter’ of their marriage to the Crown Prince to detail facts about the government’s Rafale deal and how it benefits the country’s military and security forces. Received a lot of coverage and praise in the media.
As soon as this happy event happened, Yuvraj realized that the fame he got could be used to make his country better and for this purpose he started working as a social worker and influencer. Yuvraj is also known to have ‘squabbled’ with prominent leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Uddhav Thackeray. Nothing is being written exaggeratedly about the confrontation with these veteran leaders of the country, but Yuvraj’s social media is proof of this.
In June 2019, after a video of Mamata Banerjee calling BJP agents to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ villagers went viral, Yuvraj sent her a book of “Valmiki Ramayana” as a response. Although Mamta Banerjee had turned down his gift, Yuvraj was highly praised for his courage and effort. Yuvraj had also recently clashed with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray when Uddhav Thackeray and his party were embroiled in a controversy with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Supporting actress Kangana and her bold stand, Yuvraj took the daring venture of sending lipstick to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to explain that today’s women are not afraid to take charge and can do anything. Along with this, Yuvraj expressed his displeasure in very clear words and said that Uddhav is a useless Chief Minister and is not able to rule any state.
The media industry was the next stop on the list of Yuvraj’s adventure journey. In fact, he is a rising author and columnist with reputed national media outlets like NewsX, The Sunday Guardian etc. But this courageous and different person did not stop here. He has recently started a media consulting firm called Mediatrix-Multimedia-Private-Ltd with his wife Sakshi Pokharna, in which he is assisting a wide range of social workers, politicians to actors. In less than a year, his firm has helped over 100 people share their stories with the world and empower them in this digital world.
Yuvraj’s profile ranges from being an engineer to a teacher then a social and political activist. He is also a thinker and has contributed to several media outlets as a columnist in the past. Yuvraj has now taken admission in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in order to gain knowledge and explore the administrative set-up prevailing in the country. Yuvraj’s determination to make this country a better and better place can be seen in all his professional career choices. Now tell me why are we not surprised?
