How to do Jal Neti
Prepare salt water by mixing a tablespoon of salt in 1 liter of hot water. The salt should be in the right proportion and the water should be slightly warm so that it does not cause much discomfort in the nose when poured.
Put salt water in the neti vessel and put the spout of the pot in one of your nostrils. Insert the end of the spout into the inside of the nose.
– Then tilt your head slightly and open your mouth (breathe through your mouth during the procedure). Tilt your head back in such a way that water starts flowing from one nostril to the other. Continue until the neti pot is empty.
Fill the vessel with salt water again and do the same with the other nostril.
You can repeat this as many times as you want. You may experience a burning sensation in your nose, sneezing or coughing when you do this for the first time. However, it gets fixed after some time.
