Ingredients to make Amritsari Chicken Masala-
For Marination-
-500 grams chicken
-2 tsp ginger
-garlic paste
-3 tbsp curd
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp salt
-2 tsp onion (chopped)
To make Gravy-
-2 tsp butter
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp ginger
-1/2 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 green chili
-6 tomatoes
-1/2 tsp sugar
-3 tsp butter
-3 tsp cream
How to make Amritsari Chicken Masala –
Marinating method-
To marinate the chicken, first take the chicken in a large bowl and add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, vinegar, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt and chopped onion. Mix all these things well with the chicken and keep it aside for 2 hours.
To make Chicken Gravy-
To make Chicken Gravy, first put butter in a pan and heat it. Add red chili powder and fry it lightly. Now add coriander powder, cumin powder and chopped ginger and fry it well. Add water to it and mix the spices well. Now add salt, green chili, tomato and sugar and mix it well. Take butter in another pan and spread it all around in the pan. Now add marinated chicken in it.
Fry the chicken well with butter. Cover the pan and cook the chicken. After this, remove the lid of the pan and check whether the color of the chicken has turned golden brown or not. Now add tomato gravy to it and mix it well. Cover the pan again, cook the chicken for some more time. Remove the lid and add cream to the gravy and mix well. Now garnish it with butter, green coriander and green chili and serve it hot with roti or rice.
