Ingredients for making Arabic meat-
500 grams chopped mutton
2 medium onions
3 green chilies
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp coriander powder
2 pieces cinnamon
1/2 cup refined oil
water as required
6 arbi (colocasia root)
2 tomatoes
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
salt as required
5 leaves coriander leaves
How to make Arbi Gosht –
To make this delicious dish, wash and peel the arbi in running water. Then cut them and keep them aside. Heat oil in a pan and fry the arbi pieces till golden brown and keep aside. Heat some oil in a separate pan and add cinnamon stick and onion and fry till it turns light brown. Then, add tomatoes, ginger, garlic paste, green chillies and saute for a few minutes. Now add the mutton pieces to the pan and mix well. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt as required and a little water and let the mutton cook for a few minutes. Then add water to it and boil it on low flame. Now, add the fried arbi pieces, stir gently and let it cook for some time. After cooking, transfer the meat in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves. serve hot.
