Ingredients for making Halwa-
-1 cup semolina
-1/4 tsp cardamom powder
-2 tbsp sugar
-1 tsp cashew powder
-1/4 tbsp mixed dry fruits
– Desi Ghee as required

How to make Halwa-
To make pudding, first of all, keep ghee in a pan on medium flame for heating. After this, add semolina and fry till it becomes light golden. When the color of the mixture turns light brown, add water to it and cook it while stirring. When the pudding starts to thicken, add sugar and cashew powder and cook till the sugar dissolves. Then add cardamom powder and cook while stirring for 2 minutes. Switch off the gas after a while. Take out the halwa on a plate. Your sooji halwa is ready. Serve it with dry fruits.

How to make dried black gram-
To make dried black gram, first soak them overnight and keep them aside. On the second day, take out the water from the soaked gram and put them in the cooker, add water and a little salt to it, so that the gram does not become too dark. After this put 5-6 whistles in them to boil the gram. After this the whistle goes out, then keep it in a clean vessel so that the gram cools down. When the gram cools down, take out one-fourth of it and mash it lightly with your hand, so that the gram masala can thicken, after that keep the cooker on low flame.
Now put oil in the cooker and after that add one teaspoon cumin, half teaspoon asafoetida, one and a half teaspoon chana masala, half teaspoon turmeric, less than half teaspoon ground red chili, one teaspoon amchur powder, green chopped chilies and chopped ginger. After this, stir the spices and immediately add both mashed gram and boiled whole gram together and mix it well. After 5 minutes, add about a glass of water and salt to taste and close the cooker. Switch off the gas after 3-4 whistles, when the whistle comes out, take out the gram in the vessel, now it is ready to serve.
