Under the scheme, landless agricultural labourers, rickshaw pullers, handcart drivers, tea sellers, tailors, cobblers, any other type of working person who works in someone else’s house can avail the benefits of this scheme. The age of the applicant for the scheme should be between 18 years to 40 years. Those people cannot apply under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana run by the Government of India. Those who are not covered under Employees Provident Fund i.e. EPF. Along with this, all the employees who are not taking the benefits of NPS and ESIC. Therefore, no government employee of any kind can apply for this scheme. To apply for the scheme, the monthly income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 15000.
To apply under Pradhan Mantri Shramjeevi Maandhan Yojana, the applicant must have some documents. Which includes Aadhaar card along with any identity card issued by the government. Bank account passbook and a passport size photograph are also required. By applying with all these documents, an account can be opened under the Pradhan Mantri Shramjeevi Yojana by visiting any nearest Common Service Center and can avail the benefits of the scheme.
