There are signs of increasing risk of corona in the country. In the last five days itself, the infection rate has increased from 0.21 percent to 0.32 percent. However, if we talk about new cases daily, 861 cases have been registered on Monday as compared to 1154 on Sunday. With this, the number of people infected so far increased to 4,30,36,132. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 11,058.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the death toll has increased to 5,21,691 after six more cases of death due to infection were reported in the country. Active patients have come down to 11,058 which is 0.03 per cent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, there was a decrease of 74 in the number of patients under treatment. The national recovery rate of patients is 98.76 percent. So far, a total of 4,25,03,383 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from COVID-19 is 1.21 percent.

Over 9,500 Precautionary Doses on Day 1
A total of 9,674 precautionary doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered to people in the age group of 18 years to 59 years in the country on the first day on Sunday.
With this, the total number of doses given across the country increased to 185.74 crore. Those who have completed nine months of taking a second dose can take a precautionary dose. The Health Ministry said on Monday that 2.22 crore (2,22,67,519) children in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
