The story of Mahabharata in Sanatan Dharma is similar, whose relevance is the same today. Arjuna is one of the most powerful and skilled characters of Mahabharata, an archer who was not like anyone else. Arjuna never lost any war in his life. But there was a time when Arjun died at the hands of his own son. Actually Arjun had four wives. Draupadi, Chitrangada, Ulupi and Subhadra. We all know the story of winning Draupadi from the eyes of fish. But today we are going to tell you about Arjun’s wife Chitrangada and his son.
Arjuna fascinated by the princess of Manipur
Chitrangada was the daughter of Chitravahana, the king of Manipur. When Vanvasi Arjun reached Manipur, he was fascinated to see Chitrangada’s war skills and form. Chitrangada King was the only successor of Chitravahana. He asked the king his daughter. King Chitravahana admitted Arjuna’s marriage to Chitrangada on the condition that his son would remain near Chitravahana because in the last era there was a king named Prabhujan among his ancestors. He did penance with the wish of the son, so Shiva gave him the boon of the son and said that there would be only one child in every generation. So the child of Chitravahana was a girl.
Arjuna accepted the condition and married her. Chitrangada’s son was named ‘Babhruvahana’. After the birth of the son, Arjuna left the weight of his care on Chitrangada. Before leaving, Arjun said that Yudhishthira will perform Rajasuya Yajna when the time comes, only then Chitrangada will come to Indraprastha with her father. There will be an opportunity to meet all the relatives of Arjun. Arjun, who was killed by his own son, reached Manipur for Ashwamedha Yagya and Babruvahana welcomed him. When King Babhruvahana of Manipur heard that my father had come, he reached the border of the city for his darshan with a lot of wealth and wealth.
When Arjuna looked at the king of Manipur like this, he took refuge in religion and did not respect him. Arjuna became angry. He did not consider it to be a Kshatriya and challenged his son for war. Ulupi (Arjun’s second wife) also inspired his half -son Babhruvahana to war. In the war, Babhruvahana became unconscious and Arjun was killed by his own son.
Ulupi lives with Sanjeevani Mani
Hearing the news of Arjun’s death, Arjun’s wife Chitrangada reached the battlefield and mourned. She started saying to Ulupi that my son Babhruvahana fought with her father with your order. Chitrangada became very angry at Ulupi. Ulupi revived Arjuna from Sanjeevani Mani and told that she once went to the banks of Ganga. There, a deity named Vasu, conversed with the Ganges and cursed that Arjuna would also be in Bhumisa at the hands of his son due to the slaughter of Gangaputra under the guise of Shikhandi. Only then Arjuna will be free from sin. For this reason, Ulupi also inspired Babhruvahana to war.
