The danger was looming on the studies
Ansar Ahmed Shaikh hails from a small village in Jalna district of Maharashtra and his family’s financial condition was deteriorating. Amidst the financial condition of the family, his father and relatives had asked him to leave his studies. Ansar Sheikh’s childhood was no less than a war. Fighting all odds, Ansar never gave up on his goal.
‘Abba told me to leave studies’
In an interview given to the media, he told that, ‘Abba had reached my school to get rid of studies, but my teacher explained to him and told that I am very good in studies. After that somehow the tenth. After this, Ansar got 91 percent marks in 12th, then the family members never stopped for studies again.
Friends supported mentally and financially
Ansar Ahmed Sheikh said in an interview about his success, “There is no substitute for hard work. During my struggle, my friends helped me a lot mentally and financially and even my coaching academy waived off a part of the fees due to my poor financial condition.
Ansar says, ‘Many people give excuses that they are poor. But remember that poverty and success are two different things and have nothing to do with them. You must be hardworking and determined towards your goal. Your background doesn’t matter much. The only thing that matters is you.’
Father used to take care of the family by driving an auto
Ansar Ahmed Sheikh, the country’s youngest IAS officer, is the son of Yonas Sheikh Ahmed, who works as an autorickshaw driver in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. Ansar Sheikh’s father was battling alcohol addiction. Ansar’s mother used to work in agriculture. Ansar not ready to follow in the footsteps of his father, Ansar took a new path which created a history today. Ansar had told, ‘Papa used to earn only one hundred to one and a half hundred rupees every day, in which it was very difficult to run the expenses of his entire family and in such a situation his father could not give money for studies.
Brother worked in the garage to make Ansar an IAS
Ansar Sheikh grew up watching domestic violence and child marriage closely. His sisters were married off at the age of 15 and his younger brother, Anees dropped out of school in the seventh grade to work in a garage to help Ansar prepare for the IAS exam.

At the young age of 21, Ansar Ahmed Shaikh gave up in front of the hard work and struggle and in the year 2015, he passed the UPSC examination in his first attempt, the youngest IAS at this age. became an officer. Ansar secured 371st rank in All India and got selected for IAS.
