Bihar Politics: On the one hand, the parties of the NDA coalition are counting their achievements in the Bihar assembly elections, on the other hand, the opposition coalition parties are questioning the shortcomings of Nitish Kumar’s two decades long governance. The NDA government, led by Nitish Kumar in the electoral atmosphere, has announced several continuous schemes.
There is a debate of negative and positive publicity in elections. Issues like unemployment, migration, education, health, law and order are being raised by the opposition. Parties like Congress and SIR are alleging disturbances in voting, while Rashtriya Janata Dal is running its politics on the basis of Congress issues. The India Block says that the BJP and the ruling parties are being manipulating the voter list in collaboration with the Election Commission.
India coalitions are taking out the voter rights journey. Meanwhile, the NDA is highlighting its development works. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated projects worth 13,000 crore in Gaya. At the same time, Nitish government has made decisions like economic package and railway interlinking for industries. The ruling coalition is making it its electoral force.
What is the Narrative of India Block?
• Communalism and polarization: India Block says that Nitish Kumar is now standing with the BJP’s ideology, while he was a socialist. Recently he refused to wear a Muslim cap and adopt religious marks, which the opposition has presented as communal polarization.
• Voter list disturbances: The India Block alleges that the BJP and Nitish government committed extensive rigging in the voter list before the elections in Bihar. The names of 65 lakh voters were removed from the list and declared dead, which ended their right to cast their votes. The opposition is protesting as a vote theft.
• Gundaraj’s charge: India Block leaders are accusing Nitish government of failure to maintain law and order. Congress and RJD say that Bihar has now become the capital of crime, where crimes are happening in broad daylight in areas like Patna and Motihari. Illegal liquor smuggling and terror of sand mafia have also increased.
• Weak policing: India Block also alleges that policemen are being killed in Bihar and the police system is weak. After the murder of two ASIs in March 2025, questions have been raised on the Nitish government.
• Center pressure: The India Block claims that Nitish Kumar is not running the state independently, rather he is under pressure from Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav say that a conspiracy is being hatched to run Bihar like Gujarat.
What is the NDA’s nectar?
• rule of the jungle: BJP and JDU are repeatedly reminding Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi’s government. He says that if Tejashwi Yadav becomes CM, then crime, kidnapping and return will be returned in Bihar, as in Bihar from 1990 to 2000.
• Development, employment and prosperity: The NDA says that Nitish Kumar has given employment to millions and has promised to provide employment to 1 crore people in the next five years. The infrastructure of the state has improved under the Nitish government and industries have developed.
• Law and order: The NDA says that Nitish Kumar took Bihar out of Jungle Raj. If the JDU government is no more, the state will again be in the grip of crime, casteism and communal violence.
• Industry: The government has announced a special economic package to promote industries. Nitish Kumar recently announced that now industrialists will be given big discounts in many schemes so that the number of industries in the state can increase.
• Public welfare schemes: Nitish Kumar has announced several welfare schemes. For example, widow pension has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100, promise to provide free electricity from 125 units, 39 lakh government jobs and 1 crore jobs. Along with this, plans have also been made to promote 17 new industrial parks and tourism.
The opposition is highlighting the deficiencies of the government, while the NDA is vocal about its development work. He claims that Nitish Kumar’s government will once again be formed in Bihar.
