Srinagar, Aug 31 (IANS) BJP leader Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj has targeted Akali Dal leader Simranjit Singh for commenting on actress Kangana Ranaut. She said that Kangana is an actress. She plays many roles on the silver screen. In such a situation, if someone does not like any of her roles, then he can go to the censor board and register an objection against it, but making personal comments on someone in this way is not at all appropriate and cannot be tolerated at any cost.
The BJP leader further said, “If someone has an objection to any role or scene played by him, then there is a way of doing it. Making such personal comments is the height of indecency. It is quite possible that some people like someone’s role and some do not, but there is a way to express your opinion and that way should be followed.”
She further said, “I would like to emphasize that there is ‘freedom of expression’ in this country. Everyone has the right to express their views. No matter which community you belong to, you have every right to express your views on every issue. Media also has freedom of expression. This is the fourth pillar of democracy. Freedom of expression means attacking fundamental rights.”
It is known that recently actress Kangana Ranaut had alleged that women were raped during the farmers’ movement. After her allegation, the political uproar had intensified.
After this, Akali Dal leader Simranjit Singh made a controversial comment on Kangana Ranaut. He said that Kangana has a long experience of rape. She also works in films. So she may have experience of it.
On the other hand, Kangana had given an interview to IANS in this regard a few days ago. In this, she had said that she is constantly being threatened with rape. By doing this, some people want to suppress her voice, but they will not be able to suppress her voice. She will continue to speak her mind openly.
