New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) BJP national spokesperson Dr Ajay Alok in an exclusive interview with IANS on Saturday supported the decision to abolish the two-hour break for Friday namaz in the Assam assembly.
Party spokesperson Ajay Alok has praised the decision of the Assam Assembly Speaker to cancel the two-hour holiday for offering namaz every Friday in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Assam Assembly. He said that those who are creating a ruckus on this issue should tell in which article of the Constitution it is written that there should be a two-hour holiday for Friday prayers.
This was a colonial decision, which was repealed. But if the opposition wants that there should be two days holiday for Friday prayers, then nine MPs of the Congress party, five MPs of TMC and four MPs of SP are Muslims, they should bring a bill in the House and include it in the Constitution.
Taking a jibe at the opposition parties, he said that if the pilot of the plane is also from a particular religion, then he will also land the plane on Friday and offer Namaaz. If this is what these people want, then the country will run like this.
Bihar’s Leader of Opposition and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had said that Himanta Biswa Sarma is the Chinese version of Yogi Adityanath, to which the BJP spokesperson said that it means he considers Yogi to be the Indian version, that’s his intelligence.
On the letter written by Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to the Centre regarding the RG tax case of Kolkata, the BJP leader said that her name is not Mamata, but cruelty. She should turn this correspondence into virtue with the people of Bengal. The cruelty with which Mamata is treating the people of Bengal has created chaos there. Incidents of rape are happening every day in the state and the Chief Minister is sleeping.
Regarding the protest against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency, he said that for this she should approach the High Court, Supreme Court and the Censor Board.
