West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led a protest march in Kolkata on Wednesday. In which he accused the BJP of discrimination against the Bengali community. The rally started from college square and reached Dorina Crossing in Dharmatla. In which several senior leaders including Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee attended. Tight security arrangements were made during the March about three kilometers long March. In which more than 1,500 policemen were stationed and traffic was diverted in many places.
During the March, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee directly attacked the ruling party BJP at the Center. He said that the kind of behavior with Bengalis is being done in the BJP-emergent states is very disappointing. Mamta announced, now I will speak more in Bangla. Every state, respect for every language is necessary
Mamta Banerjee, while emphasizing on linguistic diversity and mutual respect, said that when Hindi -speaking people were targeted in Maharashtra. TMC then first raised his voice in support of him. He said, we respect people from every state here. Whether they are workers, shopkeepers or small traders. They are citizens of the country and are our own. We respect their language, culture and rights.
Accused of removing name from voter list in election
The Chief Minister accused the BJP of electoral rigging and said that the names got power in Maharashtra by removing the name from the voter list. Now the same effort is being made in Bihar too. He said that about 22 lakh workers working outside Bengal are being seen with suspicion while they have all the valid documents.
Conspiracy to describe Bengalis as Rohingya
Mamta Banerjee said in a sharp tone that it is not possible for anyone to prove that Bengali migrant Rohingya is a Muslim. He described it as a well -planned conspiracy and said that TMC will continue to raise voice on every platform against such malicious allegations. He said that no attempt to defame Bengalis will be tolerated.
