Actor Mohanlal-Pritviraj Sukumaran, who has been facing controversies since its release in theaters, is not taking the name of the troubles of the starrer ‘Emapuran’. Despite 24 cuts and significant improvements, the RSS mouthpiece ‘Organizer’ asked the film’s producers questions.
The trouble of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Emoran’ seems to be growing with a new article published in the RSS mouthpiece organizer. This time director Prithviraj Sukumaran and screenwriter Murali Gopi have been questioned.
After the criticism, the makers decided to put a total of 24 cuts in the film and the edited version of the film is going to be released from Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the new article by the organizer claims that despite the names and changes in the characters, the film still has “anti -Hindu sentiments”.
The article highlights that the plot is focused on Masood Saeed (Prithviraj), who joins the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) to take revenge on Hindus after losing his family in Gujarat riots.
According to the article, even after re -editing, the film has been shown as sympathetic persons who have given shelter to Masood. The film also includes a scene in which a young man is encouraged to take up arms against India.
The article said, “The protest was never to remove the Gujarat riots from the film. The demand was related to other scenes, including the Godhra train burning. However, changes in time were made in the film and even though the year 2002 has been changed to ‘a few years ago’, the original story is the same, in which Hindus are shown as a villain.
The article further claimed that Hindus have been convicted for Islamic terror through the film.
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Murali Gopi were targeted and many sharp questions were asked about the story of the film.
“Did the original script have some controversial elements that were later removed? Which scenes related to the national anthem were cut by the Censor Board? Did the film produce anti-national forces both in India and abroad? Why did one of the original manufacturers draw hands from the project?
The article ends by urging the society of Kerala to examine the “agenda” of the manufacturers of Emopuran.
It said, “Movies should only be seen as entertainment. Both Prithviraj and Murali Gopi should apologize for an attempt to make communal division and anti-national film under the guise of artistic freedom.”
‘Emoran’ has been released in theaters on 27 March.
