Haryana News Desk !!! Ladwa seat of Kurukshetra district of Haryana has become hot. Haryana’s acting CM Naib Singh Saini is in the fray on BJP ticket. This seat came into existence after the delimitation of 2008. Earlier Ladwa was included in Thanesar. No party has won again in 3 elections from here. In 2019, Congress’s Meva Singh won from here. The party has given him ticket for the second time. INLD-BSP alliance has fielded Sapna Badshami, JJP-ASP alliance has fielded Vinod Sharma and AAP has fielded Joga Singh. Ladwa seat has the highest number of voters from Saini community. There are a total of 1.96 lakh voters here. Naib Saini can get the benefit of being the CM’s face. But the displeasure of farmers can also prove to be heavy.
Big case of Ladwa
The construction of bypass and girls college on Yamunanagar-Pipali highway are the main issues here. At the same time, BJP rebel Sandeep Garg is also increasing Saini’s problems. If the votes of Vaishya and Dalit community get scattered, then BJP is sure to lose. Meva Singh is facing anti-incumbency wave, he is accused that work is not being done due to being out of the government. He is also facing challenge from Jat face Sapna Badshami. If the Jats get scattered then BJP will benefit. This seat has not been the stronghold of any party. In 2009, INEL’s Sher Singh Badshami defeated Congress’ Kailasho Saini by just 2505 votes.
Pawan Saini won in 2014
In 2014, BJP’s Pawan Saini won from here. He was challenged by INLD’s Bachan Kaur Badshami. INLD lost by just 2992 votes. In 2019, Congress’ Meva Singh defeated Pawan Saini by 12637 votes. Every time the fight was between Jats and Saini. BJP is expecting 40 percent OBC, Brahmin and Vaishya voters. It is believed that Sandeep Garg will make a dent in the Vaishya votes. Brahmins have 6.71 percent votes, it remains to be seen whether JJP candidate Vinod Sharma will get it or not. If the Jat votes get divided between Meva Singh and Sapna, both will suffer losses.
Meva Singh can benefit from the atmosphere in favor of Congress. Nayab Singh Saini became MLA from Narayangarh in 2014. After which he became MP from Kurukshetra in 2019. Therefore, Ladwa cannot be considered a new place for him. Being the CM face, he is campaigning for other candidates. Former Haryana CM Manohar Lal, state president Mohan Lal have come to Baroli for him. His wife Suman Saini is campaigning from Ladwa. Saini is talking about transparency in jobs, development without discrimination.
Meva Singh has hope from the farmers
Congress’s Meva Singh is cornering the government on the issues of farmers, employment and inflation. Former CM Hooda and Deepender Hooda have also campaigned for him. Sapna Saini is campaigning in the hope of victory with the help of her father-in-law Sher Singh Badshami, who has been close to former CM OP Chautala. He too has gone to jail with Chautala in the JBT scam. The fourth candidate Sandeep Garg has entered the fray in the name of social service. Earlier he was seeking a ticket from the BJP. But after Saini’s dynasty, he became a rebel. Sandeep Garg runs Annapurna Kitchen in Ladwa, where 4,000 people get free food every day. It will be interesting to see whether Ladwa’s Nayab Singh Saini is able to save the fort or not.
