New Delhi, Sep 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari wrote a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Saturday, soon after she took oath. In this, he raised questions about the liquor scam in Delhi and the repair of roads in the city.
Manoj Tiwari wrote in the letter, “Chief Minister Atishi ji, congratulations and best wishes to you on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. We hope that you will definitely pay attention to the crumbling system of Delhi. Before you, Arvind Kejriwal ji has caused a lot of damage to Delhi by just playing the blame game for nine and a half years. Now you have taken an oath on the Constitution to serve the people of Delhi.”
He further wrote, “As an MP of Delhi, I have expectations from you and also request the following: You should immediately order an inquiry as to why the liquor policy was withdrawn and how much revenue was lost in it? How could the semi-permanent structures of the school with iron-lattice roofs, which are built for Rs 5 lakh, be built for Rs 25 lakh? And, immediately order that the lanes and PWD roads under MCD should be repaired because most of them are broken.”
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari wrote, “On behalf of the people of Delhi, we request you to reduce the increased electricity and water bills, and also get back the money that has been cut from the pockets of the people. Everyone, whether poor or middle class, or businessmen, is troubled. How is the electricity bill coming so high? Delhi has a lot of hope from its third woman Chief Minister that she will immediately solve the problems and if the former Chief Minister stops you from working to hide his failures, then you should also tell us MPs that we are with you for the development of Delhi.
Let us tell you that after Arvind Kejriwal resigned, Atishi took oath as the Chief Minister. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena administered the oath of office and secrecy to her. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders Gopal Rai, Imran Hussain, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Kailash Gehlot and Mukesh Ahlawat took oath as ministers in the Delhi government led by Atishi.
