New Delhi, June 9 (IANS). Former Union Minister and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi reacted sharply to the alleged infighting in the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Prime Minister Modi’s 12-year tenure and the politics of the opposition alliance. He said that TMC is today trapped in a political crisis of its own making and seems to be disintegrating even before a common opposition platform can be formed.
Responding to Kirti Azad’s dismissal of speculations of TMC MPs leaving the party, Naqvi said serious contradictions have emerged within the ruling party of West Bengal. When sister’s house becomes nephew’s house, there is bound to be trouble. Now Mamata Banerjee and TMC themselves are trapped in this house game. It is said that the house is on fire because of the lamp in the house. TMC’s arrogance, anarchy, arrogance and stubborn attitude towards the mandate is weighing heavily on it today.
Naqvi further said that the party should first decide from whom it has to save its house. There is a commotion and stampede in your own house. There is silence at your entry gate and chaos at the exit gate. First handle this situation. The BJP leader also reacted to TMC MP Mahua Moitra’s statement in which she had claimed that MP Yusuf Pathan had received a call from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. On this Naqvi said that creating unnecessary noise will not solve the problem.
He said that the house is not able to handle you and is making noise in the whole country to save us. Overconfidence and internal contradictions are responsible for the chaos that is taking place inside your home. Fix them first. Just making noise will be of no use.
On completion of 12 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi called it an important achievement for Indian democracy. He said this is the first non-Congress government to rule successfully without the support or so-called ‘remote control’ of the Congress. This is the first non-Congress government, which is continuously, uninterruptedly and tirelessly carrying forward the successful journey of good governance without the remote and support of the Congress. Prime Minister Modi has shown this. For a long time there was a belief in Indian politics that non-Congress governments could not remain stable. But, Modi government has changed this thinking.
He said that some people fall into the mold of time and some people change the mold of time. The custom and attitude that the government cannot run without Congress has completely collapsed. The strength with which the Modi government is working is a good thing for India, good governance, democracy and the people of the country.
At the same time, on the question of advice given to Congress by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Naqvi also took a dig at opposition unity. He said that the opposition’s common platform is falling apart even before it can be formed. Their theater seems to be collapsing even before it is built. All the Ranchod Bahadurs involved in this theater have their own desires and ambitions. Everyone thinks that he should sit at the top on the throne of power.
