Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Saturday that Shiv Sena is getting stronger with every passing day and leaders of all parties are joining it.
Addressing the ‘Eknath Parv’ here, he said that from June 2022 to the end of 2024, many welfare schemes were included during his tenure as Chief Minister, including the major wood sister scheme, under which women with annual family income less than Rs 2.5 lakhs get Rs 1500 as monthly assistance.
Indirectly targeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he was on the ground during the Kovid-19 epidemic, while some people stayed at home.
Shinde and BJP leaders have often accused Thackeray, who were the Chief Minister during the epidemic, have been accusing them of running administration from Matoshree in Bandra area of Mumbai.
Shinde said, “Shiv Sena is getting stronger day by day and leaders of different parties are joining us everyday. Even if the winds (to extinguish), the Shiv Sena’s lamp will continue to burn.”
