'This is the 26th time ...', Congress at the Center for the claim of US President Trump's ceasefire

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh took a sarcasm at the central government when US President Donald Trump claimed to have a ceasefire between India and Pakistan for the 26th time.

Sharing the ex -post of President Trump on Saturday, Ramesh mentioned that while mediation between Cambodia and Thailand, Trump again claimed that the US mediated between India and Pakistan.

Jairam Ramesh wrote, “President Trump is now mediation between Cambodia and Thailand and is using the opportunity to claim for the 26th time – the US and Pakistan have a ceasefire from the arbitration of America.”

The border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia has entered its fourth day, while US President Donald Trump once again rode on the chariot of his business, called a ceasefire after a conversation with the state’s heads of the two countries, and compared with the Indo-Pakistan struggle.

According to a series of posts published on Saturday (local time) on Truth Social, the US President has once again resorted to business talks for a ceasefire and peace agreement between Cambodia and Thailand.

Giving an example, he said that this struggle “reminds me of the struggle between Pakistan and India, which was successfully stopped.”

Jairam Ramesh’s remarks have come amidst the continuous attack on the Center over the Pahalgam attack by the Congress and the Operation Sindoor.

Earlier on Saturday, Ramesh targeted the Modi government and accused the “failure” of Indian diplomacy and said that the Prime Minister’s friendship with US President Donald Trump was proving to be “hollow.”

Ramesh, the Congress Communications in -charge (General Secretary), wrote on X, “India has already paid a heavy price for the Prime Minister to give a clean chit to China on June 19, 2020. Their much friendly friendship with President Trump is now proving hollow.”

Ramesh said, “The gross failure of Indian diplomacy, especially in the last two months, is the most exposed by four facts. These facts open up the big claims of the Prime Minister and his dhundora bearded and cheer. Since May 10, 2025, President Trump has claimed 25 times that he had threatened personally to stop the operation surprise. He has threatened to stop the operation. If stopped, they will not compromise business with America. “
