Illegal sand miners tried to run over forest officials with a tractor-trolley in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. Illegal sand miners attacked the officers and ran away with two tractor-trolleys loaded with construction material. This incident happened on Sunday in Bada Malhera area of ​​Gulganj police station area. Forest Officer Rajendra Pastor said that he had received information about illegal sand mining in the river located in Bhartoli forest area.

MP Police said that based on information, forest officials of Bada Malhera and Gulganj had gone to the area to take action against illegal mining and transportation of sand. During the raid, the Forest Department team seized two tractor-trolleys from the spot. Shailendra Singh, a resident of Garha, allegedly tried to run a tractor-trolley over the forest officials. The attackers also damaged a forest department vehicle.

After this the attackers fled with vehicles laden with sand. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rohit Amava said that a case has also been registered against Singh under the Forest Act, obstructing government work, damaging government property and various sections related to the Indian Justice Code. The police is investigating the case

Recently, an official of MP Agricultural Marketing (Mandi) Board was allegedly beaten up by some people in Shivpuri district. Police said that this incident, which took place at Purankhedi toll plaza on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, was captured in CCTV cameras. Police post in-charge Shikha Tiwari said that Mandi Board’s assistant sub-inspector Vikas Sharma was beaten up by some people traveling in an SUV.
