Ahmedabad: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be on a two -day visit to Ahmedabad from Friday. During this, he will hold a meeting with party leaders and officials in view of the 2027 Gujarat assembly elections. The Congress issued a statement saying that Rahul Gandhi had earlier said that the party would win the 2027 Gujarat assembly elections and it is coming to the state to start the work of contesting the next assembly elections.

According to Rahul’s visit to the party, he will hold a meeting with former state presidents of the party and former opposition leaders on Friday morning. He (related to the party) will also hold a meeting with the state political affairs committee. According to this journey program, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Gandhi will meet the district and city presidents of the Congress as well as the Taluka and Municipality Heads in the evening. He will interact with representatives of social organizations from five to seven in the evening. Rahul will address party workers in Ahmedabad on Saturday and will leave for Delhi in the afternoon on the same day.
Congress meeting in Ahmedabad on 8-9 April
The Congress will meet in Ahmedabad on 8 and 9 April. Party General Secretary KC Venugopal visited Gujarat last Tuesday to take stock of the preparations for the meeting. In the 2022 assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress won 17 out of total 182 seats. But after the resignation of five MLAs, the number of party MLAs in the House decreased to 12.
