Political mathematics will be practiced from Champaran
The Champaran region is considered a BJP stronghold. In the 2020 assembly elections, NDA captured 17 out of 21 seats in the region, out of which 15 went to the BJP and 2 JDU accounts. The Grand Alliance got the remaining 4 seats. Out of the 12 seats in East Champaran, 9 NDAs and 3 are with RJD, while 9 of West Champaran have 8 NDA and one with Male.
This visit of PM Modi is being seen as a preparation for BJP’s 2025 election. The party’s strategy is to strengthen the seats won last time and re -occupy the lost seats. Especially seats like Sugauli, Narkatia, and Kalyanpur have been taken in mission mode for BJP.
