Chhattisgarh Politics: The politics of Chhattisgarh is once again hot that it is in discussion at this time. The raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the house of former Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel and the arrest of his son Chaitanya Baghel has made the political atmosphere more explosive. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while sharing a post on X (East Twitter) on Saturday, launched a scathing attack on the BJP government and alleged that all the forests of Chhattisgarh have been handed over to the land.
Priyanka Gandhi said that “the instructions of the Pesa law and the NGT are being openly blown up. The forests are being ruined. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was going to raise this serious issue in the assembly, but ED was taken in the morning to stop them.” He further wrote that “ED’s action is an attempt to suppress the voice of democracy. In the last 11 years, it has been fully seen how the Bharatiya Janata Party government tries to crush the opposition by misusing the agencies. But every Congress worker stands firmly with Bhupesh Baghel.”
Baghel retaliation amidst the action of ED
Bhupesh Baghel also released a statement on social media amid the action of ED. He wrote, “ED officer reached my house at 6.20 am. This is not the first time I am being acted upon after raising the issues related to Adani. Modi-Shah’s government is working to scare the opposition. But I will not bow down, nor break. We will continue to fight this fight.”
Son arrested in liquor scam
During the ED’s action, Bhupesh Baghel’s son Chaitanya Baghel was arrested in the alleged liquor scam. He was produced in court on Friday, from where the special court handed him over to the ED on a five -day remand. Now the agency will interrogate them seriously.
Opposition leaders included in the long list of ED’s action
Let me tell you, this is not the first time the ED has taken action against opposition leaders. Earlier, leaders like Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Bihar leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, NCP chief Sharad Pawar have also been acted upon. Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi also said in support of his brother -in -law Robert Vadra that the Modi government has been targeting him for the last decade, but in the end the truth will win.
