The list of Congress candidates for Rajasthan Assembly by-election is awaited. BJP has declared its candidates on 6 out of 7 seats. Whereas the Congress list is stuck. State Congress Committee leaders have held a meeting and sent the list of possible names to the party high command, despite this the green signal from the high command has not been received. Political experts say that most of the tickets in the Congress list may be related to the family.
In-charge Sukhjinder Randhawa says that there is no problem in familyism, the seats for which tickets can go to the family include Ramgarh, Jhunjhunu and Deoli Uniara seats. In Dausa, Murarilal Meena has said that no one from his family is contesting the by-elections. According to the information, Congress can bet on any SC face here. Political analysts say that Sachin Pilot may have distanced himself from the by-elections but Pilot’s choice is likely to get the ticket for Dausa and Deoli-Uniara seats. In such a situation, there is a dilemma regarding these two seats.
According to sources related to Rajasthan Congress, the Congress list may come today. Because the last date of nomination is getting closer. Nominations for the by-elections on 7 assembly seats of Rajasthan started from 11 am on Friday. 25th October is the last date. Names can be withdrawn till 30th October. BJP has announced candidates for 6 seats for the assembly by-elections in the state, but names are yet to come from Congress. The panel that came to the state has collected the biodata of the candidates, now the final decision on the names has to be taken in Delhi.
Although Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara has announced to field candidates on all the seven seats of the state and contest the elections without any alliance, but according to the information, talks between Congress and RLP regarding Khinvsar have not stopped yet. If this alliance does not happen, then RLP can field its candidates on more than one seat, which will have a direct impact on Congress.
