In the last 24 hours, many places in Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur received good rains. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in about a dozen districts of the state between September 1 and 3.
According to the Meteorological Department, till 7.30 am on Saturday, Rahuwas in Dausa district recorded the highest rainfall of 123 mm in the state in the last 24 hours. During this period, Nangal Rajawat in Dausa and Lavan received 60 mm rain. Similarly, 78 mm rain was recorded in Dag in Jhalawar, 63 mm in Jaipur, 58 mm in Kanota in Jaipur rural district, 51 mm in Jamwaramgarh, 41 mm in Chaumu and 40 mm in Andhi. Similarly, 60 mm rain was recorded in Sikri in Bharatpur, 55 mm in Chhipabaraud of Baran and 48 mm in Chhabra. Apart from this, sporadic rain occurred at many other places also.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar and Kota from September 1 to 3 and in Banswara and Pratapgarh on September 2 and 3. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bundi on September 1 and 3, in Tonk on September 1 and in Dungarpur and Rajsamand on September 3.
Due to good rains in the state, till now the rainfall has been 52.60 percent more than the normal average. So far 264 dams in the state have been filled to the brim and 304 dams have been partially filled. However, 123 dams are still empty. Compared to the filling capacity of the dams of the state of 12900.82 MCM, 9379.76 MCM water is available, which is 72.71 percent of the filling capacity.
