According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no significant change in the weather for the next six days. The weather will remain clear in the entire state from 20 to 26 October. Meteorological Department officials say that this time due to the monsoon being active for the entire time, winter is expected to be harsher. In the coming days, the cold will intensify from the plains to the hilly areas. Currently, the temperature in tribal areas is being recorded below the freezing point.

Lahaul-Spiti was the coldest place

According to the Meteorological Department report, the night temperature remained below 10 degrees Celsius at 11 places in five districts on Sunday. Tabo in Lahaul-Spiti recorded a minimum temperature of -0.7 degrees Celsius and was the coldest place. In Lahaul and Spiti, the minimum temperature was recorded at 1.9 degrees in Kukumseri, 3.2 degrees in Keylong and 5.5 degrees Celsius in Samdho.

Meanwhile, it was sunny in most parts of the state including the capital Shimla on Sunday. Dry spell is going on in the state in the month of October. After the departure of monsoon this month, rainfall has been 96 percent less than normal.
