After the T20 World Cup in Australia, the Indian team will tour New Zealand for a series of three T20Is and as many One Day Internationals (ODIs). New Zealand Cricket (NZC) gave this information on Tuesday i.e. 28 June 2022. The series will be organized from November 18 to 30. After this, in January next year, the New Zealand team will come to India for the limited overs series.
“After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will play against the Blackcaps (the popular name for the New Zealand men’s cricket team) for three T20Is in Wellington, Tauranga and Napier and three One Day Internationals in Auckland,” a statement issued by NZC said. Will come to New Zealand to play. The Blackcaps will then go on a tour of the subcontinent for a tour of Pakistan and a series in India. The team will return home in early February and prepare for the two-Test series against England in Tauranga (Day/Night) and Wellington.
India will play the fifth Test against England from Friday. This Test is the remaining match of the five-match series to be held last year. Both the teams will also play a series of three T20 and 3 One Day International matches from 7 July.
After this, the Indian team will tour the West Indies in July-August 2022 for a series of three One Day Internationals and five T20 Internationals. This tour of Team India will happen before the 2022 T20 World Cup.
New Zealand will also play a day-night Test against England amid a hectic international schedule. Six teams will tour New Zealand in the 2022–23 domestic season. Apart from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka men’s team and Bangladesh women’s team will tour New Zealand.
The New Zealand women’s team will travel to the West Indies after participating in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. After returning from there, it will host Bangladesh in a series of T20 and One Day Internationals. After this the team will leave for South Africa in January. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is to be played in South Africa.
